Apologetics Speaker · MA, Biola University
Faith, reason, and
the questions that
deserve honest answers.
I’m Yuda Foo. I speak and teach on the questions that make people wonder whether Christianity holds up: the resurrection, suffering, science, the Bible. Serious about ideas. Gentle with the people asking them.

What I speak on
Six conversations worth having.
Any of these works as a keynote, a Sunday message, a workshop, or a course spread over several weeks. I shape it around whoever is in the room.
- 01 Jesus
Why Believe in the Resurrection?
The historical case for the resurrection: the facts even sceptical historians grant, the empty tomb, and why the best explanation is that it happened.

How Can Jesus Be the Only Way?
How to hold the exclusivity of Christ in a pluralist society without being dismissive of other faiths, or of the people who hold them.
Explore → - 03 Hard Questions
Why Would a Good God Allow Evil?
The intellectual problem and the personal weight of suffering, held together, with no pretending the hard parts are already solved.
Explore → - 04 Science
Why Believe in God When We Have Science?
Faith and reason belong together. Where the science-versus-faith story goes wrong, and what the evidence actually points to.
Explore → - 05 Evidence
Can We Trust the Bible?
Manuscripts, dating, transmission, and the concrete reasons the New Testament is better attested than any other ancient text.

Everyday Outreach: Sharing Faith Naturally
A conversational approach to evangelism that starts with listening and the questions people actually have, instead of a script.

The posture
“Know the best ideas well enough to live in them. Then start where people actually are.”
Apologetics goes wrong when it turns into a contest. Faith goes beyond reason, but it never runs against it, and the point of a conversation is to help someone get one step further than where they started. So I use real material: dates, manuscripts, the arguments as their best defenders make them. Where something is genuinely hard, I say so. You don’t have to already believe to belong in the room.
From the desk
Graduate research, made readable.
Can Naturalism Support Ethics Both Experientially and Logically?
Modern society increasingly treats physical science as the only path to real knowledge, which leaves ethics as a matter of taste. This paper tests whether naturalistic evolution can ground ethics, and argues it cannot.
ScienceDoes the Genesis Creation Account Present a Scientific Conflict for Christianity?
The supposed war between Genesis and science usually turns on Young Earth versus Old Earth readings. This paper argues that neither reading forces a conflict with Christian faith.
JesusIn Defense of the Resurrection
Before you can weigh the evidence for the resurrection, you have to deal with the prior objection that miracles simply can't happen. This paper takes on both questions.
Flagship project
Vital Questions
A guided conversation for anyone working through the big questions about God, meaning, suffering, and truth.
The research behind these talks sits underneath it, so the evidence it gives you is specific and cited by name. Where the evidence thins out, it says so instead of bluffing.
